A good book has no ending. -R.D. Cumming

"A book reads the better which is our own, and has been so long known to us

that we know the topography of its blots, and dog’s ears, and can trace the dirt

in it to having read it at tea with buttered muffins" Charles Lamb

"Every man who knows how to read

has it in his power to magnify himself;

to multiply the ways in which he exists;

to make his life full, significant, and interesting"

Aldous Huxley

"The great thing is to be always reading but not to get bored - treat it not like work, more as a vice! Your book bill ought to be your biggest extravagance." - C.S. Lewis
